what do Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, and Houston all have in common? in the space of a week i will have visited all three sites. i apologise, again, but i’m going to be brief as it’s time for bed and i have a big week ahead of me. take a look at the latest round of pics here, and hopefully i can find some time during the week to write a full update …

back from Cleveland … chilly but good. i’ll be brief and just post a link to the pictures. Lake Erie is certainly as close as you’ll get to “a beach” within 8hrs drive of Pittsburgh, that’s for sure! seagulls everywhere, reminded me of home …

in a very last minute decision, Kate and I decided to take a road-trip 2 hours north-west of Pittsburgh to the city of Cleveland, in the state of Ohio. items on the agenda are to take a look around the city, checkout Lake Erie which is the tenth largest lake on Earth and part of the Great Lakes of North America, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. in other news, the weather has taken a turn for the worse, dropping well below freezing and dumping a few inches of snow over the past 48 hours. this is in stark contrast to the weather earlier this week, where we reached into the 70F region (21C+) which sparked a sensation i’ve never experienced before in my life … the phenomon known as spring fever! the sensation was almost euphoric!! the northern winter certainly makes one appreciate what most of us back home in Australia take for granted.

just a really quick update to post some pictures from the weekend. we went shooting, ice skating, and some sight-seeing which you can all see in the pictures! i discovered a few things over the weekend that i’m not at all proud to admit …
1 - i can’t ice-skate very well
2 - my aim is not very good
3 - i need to get back into the gym, badly!
anyway, hope you enjoy the pics (there aren’t many!) …
