yep, winter has finally arrived in the northern hemisphere … with our first major falls in Pittsburgh today of up to 4″. it’s a very unnatural feeling to see snow falling in December, but, i guess I better get used to it … some quick snaps below:

oooouuuuuucccccchhhhhhhh!!!!! was sitting in a meeting today and somehow managed to run my finger across one of the pieces of paper i was jotting notes on … and ripped a nice DEEP gash along the tip of my left middle finger (yep, ‘the bone’ finger … for those left-handed of us - altho i’m not left handed) … had to bite my tongue and still look half-professional while doing it so as not to interrupt the meeting. me … professional …? who am i kidding

anyway … i guess an update is LONG overdue - i do apologise. where do i start? it’s been manic here lately … with the temperatures dropping to nearly -10C, working close to 65 hours last week alone, and one of my co-workers moving on to a new job thus leaving me to take care of things solo, i’ve just simply not had the time, energy, or motivation to update the site. things are, on the whole, going well, and i am thoroughly enjoying the work and have learnt much since arriving here nearly 3.5 months ago! (times flies!). i am getting very accustomed to having 300+ channels to watch on cable, and loving high-definition TV (1080i) … it’s like stepping into the future … and i’m sure HD-TV will do what broadband has done to dial-up … you could never look back!

the ‘pad’ is still a little bare … have not had the motivation, nor the time to really bother looking. i’ll see how i go over the next few weeks, although the shops will be jam-packed full of crazy American Christmas shoppers … so really probably a good idea to avoid such places … we’ll see.

i am considering a trip to NYC for NYE, although have nothing concrete at this stage … i am also expecting my first Australian visitor on Thursday … which is very welcome, to hear a real Aussie will be great

i guess that’s all for now, i haven’t been to the gym in over a month now, and i’m feeling very round in areas i should not be … i guess i am experiencing America for all it’s up’s and down’s …
